As the
new field of bariatrics matures and evolves we are seeing the integration of bariatric medical programs into bariatric surgical

services under one roof. Similar to the field of cardiac care, surgery ‘only’ solutions are

Who are we?
American Bariatric Consultants is a bariatric surgical consulting service
made up of bariatric physicians, nurses, dieticians and exercise specialist with over 20 years of experience in supporting
bariatric surgical programs. Our medical director Dr. Kevin Huffman, a nationally recognized bariatric medical expert has
been training and mentoring physicians and bariatric surgeons in the art, science and business of bariatric medicine since
1989.

employers and payors with the comprehensive bariatric message. We can act as your bariatric medical liaison; visiting your
center and community meeting with local referring physicians, payors, employers, patients and health insurance policy makers
to increase physician, patient and employer referrals and to improve bariatric healthcare coverage.
